Rose Renaissance: The Resurgence of Floral Fashion and How to Rock It

Rose Renaissance: The Resurgence of Floral Fashion and How to Rock It

While we all know that in the ever-evolving world of fashion, trends come and go like the passing of the seasons, however some elements transcend time and eternally return to our style radars year after year. This perennial favourite? The rose.

Just like Beyonce, roses are experiencing a full-blown renaissance and here at MESHKI HQ we are here for it. From runways to red carpets, this iconic flower has cast a spell on the fashion world (us included).

Is it because they evoke feelings of old-world tradition and timeless romance? Or is it because they’re so versatile to dress down and up? We love the rose trend for both those reasons and here are a few ways we’ve incorporated it into our wardrobes.

On Print

The iconic rose print — nothing else inspires such a sense of romanticism than a bold bloom on a smooth satin fabrication, which is why we opted to inject that feminine floral energy onto some of our classic satin dress styles, such as the ROSALIE Satin Maxi Dress. As well as our shirting and skirting, with the AMIA Satin Wrap Shirt matching with the AMIA Satin Mini Skirt

Those searching to try a more elevated take on the rose trend will love our ESTHER Mesh Panelled Mini Dress, which incorporates satin corset-stye lining set against a soft printed mesh fabrication.

However, if you’re looking to trial the trend without going all-in, the JOANIE Mesh Lake Up Corset is an ideal piece for mixing and patching with your favourite denims for dressed up casual look.

Add A Little Appliqué

What we love about this trend is that rose details can be just that—details. This year we saw miniature rose embellishments added to the neckline, the shoulders, and on halter straps.

That’s why we created our ADELINE Rose Halter Top, which blends the easy-to-style benefits of a classic halter top but elevated with the addition of a rose along the neckline. Our BRONTE Backless Rose Mini Dress is a more subdued take on the trend, with a soft rose applique along the shoulder with elongated ‘petals’ that extend down the length of the backline.

Bandeau It

Buy yourself flowers. That’s literally the brief when it comes to taking on the rose trend and our PALOMA Rose Crop Top is the embodiment of that ethos, with a cluster of  fabric roses adorning the neckline of this panelled bandeau (that pairs beautifully with the ALLANAH Straight Leg Pant). A softer take on this style comes in the MEGAN Strapless Rose Top, which afford the same shoulder-celebrating style of the Pamola but with an eye-catching keyhole cut. Those looking for an all-in-one option will love the BROOKS Rose Mini Dress, which offers a that rose bouquet look but paired back into a mini dress.

Keep It Delicate

Just because you love roses, doesn’t mean you want to wear them all over you. We get it. Which is why our VIVICA Embroidered Mesh Shirt provides the perfect ‘entry-level’ item for this trend. Pair with a bra beneath and your favourite MESHKI denims and you’ve got a casual take on this trend that will see you through season after season. However, having delicate rose embellishments doesn’t mean your outfit needs to be any less show stopping. For instance, our ELENORA Rose Gown features a train of roses along the shoulders and backline, while keeping a muted satin maxi dress style, making it a completely versatile fit.
