Origin & Creative Journey
You’ve worn so many creative hats - model, stylist, creative, and now brand founder. How did your journey in fashion begin?
My journey in fashion began back in Copenhagen where I grew up. Clothes were always a passion of mine mainly because of my older brother and my cousin who loved them. Once I started modeling at the age of 13 my knowledge of fashion started to expand as I was exposed to so many new designers, silhouettes and the industry.
Was there a particular moment or person who gave you that first “yes” that changed everything?
Working with Kanye and Kim Kardashian definitely changed my life and my career. I learned so much from them and they gave me a platform for my work with incredible reach and recognition. I am eternally grateful for the experiences.
Style, Influence & Process
You’re known as one of the most iconic women in the fashion industry - the ultimate cool girl - and you’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the world. Is there anything you’d like to be known for beyond that image?
I would like to be known for my authenticity, which I think can be felt in my work. I am also known for being kind, inspiring and supportive to the people I collaborate with. And beyond the fashion space, I believe I am known for being a great mother and supportive friend.
Do you ever experience creative blocks? If so, what helps you reset or find inspiration again?
Yes I do, and I find that traveling always helps. I love to see new places, experience the world outside of my own and my every day. Inspiration can come in the most unexpected places and the more you are able to experience and appreciate the more you can learn.
What’s the first thing you think about when styling a look - do you start with one key piece or element and build around it, or does it come together more intuitively?
It really depends — sometimes it’s one key piece and then I build of off that. Other times it comes together more intuitively and I really enjoy the process, challenge and playfulness each look brings.
Is there a signature detail or styling rule you always come back to - like accessories, proportion, or texture?
Proportions, textures and colour are so important to me and I think I have developed a signature language with those elements that make my work unique and identifiable.
Women in the Industry
What advice would you give to other women trying to carve their own lane creatively in this industry?
Remain authentic and courageous in who you are. And both personally and professionally surround yourself with people you can trust who support your dreams.
Motherhood & Balance
You often share glimpses of motherhood on your social - how has becoming a mother influenced your creative perspective?
Yes absolutely. Bobbi, my daughter is so inspiring to me. She helps me feel more free when creating.
Has motherhood changed how you define success or balance in your work?
Yes motherhood has changed everything in the best way. It really helps me prioritize what is truly most important and how I spend my time — I have become much more intentional about the projects I take on and she’s helped me realize what matters most.
Veneda Carter's Brand
Tell us about your brand - what inspired you to create it, and what do you want people to feel when they wear it?
My brand and love of jewellery was really inspired by my mother and grandmother. They passed down beautiful heirlooms to me and I was always so drawn to their unique gold textures, symbols and meanings. I hope people feel confident and empowered when they wear my brand.
Your brand aesthetic feels both timeless and bold - is there a philosophy behind it?
The philosophy behind the brand is rooted in timelessness, courage, strength. Classic and historic inspirations are imbued in the designs but evolved for the world we are in today.
What’s next for Veneda Carter as a brand and creative?
Another Nike collaboration, which I am really looking forward to and evolving the Veneda Carter brand with more ready to wear collections, accessories and many other fun things.

If I weren’t doing this, I’d be…
