To the Woman Who Loves Me
To the Woman Who Loves Me
May 8, 2026
Motherhood wears many faces. It’s not always biological, it’s the aunty who stepped in, the friend who mothered without a title, the mentor who believed in you before you saw it yourself. It’s the woman who loved you loudly, or softly, or imperfectly; but loved you all the same.
There’s something raw and romantic about writing a letter. So this Mother’s Day, we asked our MESHKI team to pick up a pen, slow down, remember, feel, and write. These letters are unfiltered, entirely their own and addressed to the woman who raised them, shaped them, or simply showed up for them when it mattered the most.
These letters are personal notes from one woman to another. We get the honour of reading them because our team chose to share them with us with the hope that these words will encourage love in the hardest places, and change someone's entire world.
“Dear Mum,
I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. Your love, support, and guidance have helped shape me into who I am today. Through both the good and the hard times, you've always been there for me.
I'm so grateful for everything you've done for me, for your patience, strength and kindness. You've taught me so much and continue to inspire me every day.
Thank you for always caring for me and believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. Your love and support mean more to me than I can ever put into words.
I'm so lucky to have you as my mum, and I love and appreciate you so much".
— With all my love, Angel xx
“To my beautiful blessing of a mother,
Happy Mothers Day!
Words can't articulate just how special you are and how much you mean to me and all those who you share your love with. You are an angel sent from above and I don't know what I would do or who I would be without you. Thank you for all that you do and all that you are".
— Love forever and always, Nicolette xxx
"Dear Mum,
A few years ago, I watched you carry the emotional weight of not just your own but of all of us. For that, I say thank you. You don’t know how much that meant".
— xx Fay
“Dear Mummy,
Thank you for all that you do. I know I don't say it enough but I love you to the sun and back. Thank you for guiding me to be the woman I am today. I know I always say you're my favourite mum in the entire world. But you absolutely are and I really don't know what I or our family would do without you".
— Love your fave eldest daughter, Kaylen Rose.
“Mama Anabelle, I'm so happy we get to spend Mother's Day together this year. Thank you for everything Mama. I appreciate how you are still such a present Mama even at my age. LOVE YOU MAMA! Thank you".

"Dear Mummy,
You've always told me to study hard, build a good life for myself, and make sure I don't end up like you — but how could I not want to be like you?
The woman who left everything she knew — her home, her career, her family — and moved across the world for a chance at something better for her children. The woman who took on whatever work she could find, even when it meant being overlooked, underestimated, or treated unfairly. The woman who gives so much of herself to others, asking for nothing in return. The woman who somehow carries it all with strength and still meets the world with a smile.
I would be over the moon if I could become even a fraction of the woman you are. Thank you for always reminding me of my potential, and pushing me to become everything I am capable of becoming.
I love you for everything you've given, and everything you continue to be. Happy Mothers Day".
— Tiana
