Growing up, I treated glossy magazines like homework. And before I ever discovered the grown-up fashion magazines, I grew up on Girlfriend magazine, my first taste of the sparkly, slightly chaotic world of style. I would flip through every issue to see who was hot and trendy, take the quizzes to figure out which movie character I apparently was that month and treat the whole thing like very serious research.

By the time I graduated to the bigger magazines at the nail salon, I got a taste of style, celebrity goss and just enough fashion news to keep me coming back for more. It was the kind of escapism that made everything feel bigger, brighter and just slightly out of reach in the best way possible.

Fast forward to now and that world that once felt out of reach finally feels closer. I never really pictured myself being part of something like this, but MESHKI has a way of turning those faraway moments into real ones.Those pages were my escape, but they were also my education. They taught me the language of fashion long before I ever spoke it for myself.

Seeing MESHKI in the pages I once treated like treasure still feels surreal.

Ink on paper. Full colour. Very real.

ELLE Australia featured one of our resortwear pieces in its December issue, showcased in a six-page spread that felt like a pure oasis. A dreamy, sun-soaked, vacation-inspired edit that makes you want to book a flight, severely overpack, sip a martini by the seaside and send a postcard from somewhere warm.
