ABOUT THE ROLE:

In order to continue to create our customers' dream outfits, we are looking for an experienced, talented and self motivated Fashion Designer who can best combine creativity and with garment construction knowledge to help shape and bring to life collections that are unique and unforgettable.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Building moodboards and trend forecasting for upcoming collections
• Designing into approved stories and applying fabrics to these designs alongside the Senior Buyer
• Creating detailed tech packs for approved designs
• Taking ownership of the development process, including fitting the samples
• Collaborating with the design and buying team to ensure the designs are delivered on time and in alignment with the critical path
• Continuously learning from the performance of launched designs to improve upcoming collections and giving suggestions
• Manage the more junior members of the design team and keep them in check
• Premium fabric sourcing & developments

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• A genuine love for MESHKI as a brand
• Proven experience in creating high quality CADs and tech packs
• A great knowledge of current and upcoming trends
• A extensive knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims
• Experience in communicating effectively and meaningfully with off-shore suppliers
• Proven ability to self-manage your time and adhere to critical deadlines
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally, written and visually) within the product team and with other teams within the company
• A team player attitude, passionate about winning together and assisting one another when needed
• A creative mind, able to design pieces that will be iconic and unforgettable
• Able to take constructive feedback and work collaboratively towards achieving the brand’s vision
• Passionate about women empowerment, diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry
• Photoshop & Illustrator skills

BONUS SKILLS:

• Print design skills
• Patternmaking knowledge/experience
• Proven record of your designs having gone viral/been best sellers/spotted on celebrities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

IIn order to ensure that our designs are as immaculate in fit and quality as they can possibly be, we are looking for an experienced Garment Technician to provide support to our design team with overseeing the fits, grading and QC aspects of product development.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Overseeing and assisting with the creation of tech packs, specifications and grading sheets
• Liaising with suppliers as directed by Head of Product
• Fit and approval of all pre-production, shipping and bulk samples according to set grading and quality standards
• Assisting the designers and problem solving fit issues
• Assisting with conducting fit sessions and sending out fit comments to suppliers
• Assisting the Production team with QC management and liaising with suppliers on QC issues
• Implementing grading specs and block library to streamline and improve internal processes
• Implementing and improving processes with suppliers to increase efficiency and quality

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in creating high quality specs, tech packs and grading sheets
• A positive and cooperative attitude
• Excellent time management, organisational and multitasking skills
• Proven experience and knowledge of fabrics, pattern making and garment construction
• Proven ability to do size grading
• Experience in communicating effectively and meaningfully with off-shore suppliers
• Proven ability to self-manage your time and adhere to critical deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally, written and visually) within the product team and with other teams within the company
• A team player attitude, passionate about winning together and assisting one another when needed

We are looking for positive, motivated and dedicated Warehouse Dispatch Assistants (Christmas Casual Position) to join our growing team! Our Warehouse Assistants are responsible for making sure our customers get the perfect outfit in time for their event.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Picking using barcode scanners and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Processing returns
• Routine stocktaking
• Unloading trucks; Receiving/processing stock
• Moving stock into pick locations
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Previous pick and pack/ fashion warehouse experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet daily KPIs
• Exceptional organisation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to perform physical tasks as this role requires some heavy lifting and being on your feet
• Available a minimum of 4 days, Monday to Friday, between 7am - 5pm and 20-30 hours per week. More hours available during peak period.
